Activities at Okonjima are focused on tracking the local rehabilitated leopard and cheetah. Leopards are radio-tracked from the open-sided game-viewing vehicles – these cats are notoriously shy, so sightings are not guaranteed.

However, many other carnivores can be tracked by vehicle and on foot, including cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyena.

Additional activities on offer include a visit to the AfriCat Foundation, nature trails, Bushman trails, and a visit to the camp’s nocturnal hide!

The lapa is the heart of the camp, with views overlooking the waterhole.
A large arched building, the lapa has three distinct areas: a lounge with a number of inviting fireplaces and a bar, the reception area and the curio shop, and the dining room with its beautiful wooden tables. There is also a swimming pool tucked around the side of the lapa – this has sunloungers and lots of shady places in which to relax and unwind!
With only eight chalets and one honeymoon suite, this Bush Camp offers privacy and luxury. The chalets are styled on the traditional African homes, with a semi-detached open lounge/sala area, each equipped with two queen-size beds. The chalets are completely open fronted, with unobstructed views of the surrounding bush. The honeymoon suite offers stunning views through sliding glass doors and it also has an outside bush shower!

This trip focuses on Namibia’s remotest corners, which are only accessible by light aircraft.
But it is the diversity of activities that makes this trip so special – game drives, walking safaris, quad biking, cultural experiences with the Himba, day trips to the Skeleton Coast and the dunes of Sossusvlei… this trip has it all!
