Tours of the world’s largest waterfall take place during the morning and the afternoon. A knowledgeable guide leads you through the adjacent rainforest, providing a history of the Falls and a wealth of information about the plants, insects, birds, and mammals that inhabit the forest. Guides are also happy to assist with photography if required, and to offer raincoats when necessary!

A treat for history buffs, this activity offers a unique opportunity to learn about the history of the Victoria Falls Bridge from an expert guide. After that, you’ll be strapped into a full-body harness to enjoy a walk along the bridge and some amazing views!

Enjoy both half-day and full-day canoe trips on the mighty Zambezi, a wonderful way to explore the water and its resident wildlife. Particularly keen canoeists could consider a trip lasting several days, which involves camping in Zambezi National Park or on an island.

Victoria Falls is renowned worldwide for its adrenaline-fuelled watersports and other exhilarating activities. From white-water rafting to gorge swinging, and from bungee jumping to relaxing river cruises and fishing, there’s something to suit everyone here.

A microlight tour provides entirely unobstructed vistas over the waterfall and its gorges, while helicopter rides offer spectacular sweeping views – a truly mesmerising way to experience the Falls from a bird’s-eye perspective.

The communal areas at Pioneers Victoria Falls include a cosy lounge and indoor/outdoor dining spaces, where guests are served fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including some unique local delicacies.
A saloon-style bar offers a fine selection of drinks, and you can sample local craft beer made with Zambezi water. The lodge also features a curio shop, where you can purchase souvenirs and other useful items. The well-kept gardens are a tranquil haven in which to relax between trips in and around the Falls area. Two outdoor swimming pools offer respite during the hottest hours of the day, and there’s a newly renovated spa where guests can indulge in rejuvenating wellness and beauty treatments.
Guest accommodation at Pioneers Victoria Falls comprises 50 spacious rooms overlooking the property’s gardens, including four family units that consist of adjoining double and twin rooms.
All accommodations feature floor-to-ceiling mosquito nets, a fan, an air-conditioning unit, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a digital safe, and plug sockets suitable for most foreign plugs, including USB ports in the wall. The interiors are light-filled, with splashes of colour, and each room features its own wildlife theme, complemented by fun, patterned wallpaper. Besides the king-sized or twin beds, you’ll find comfortable armchairs, a writing desk, bedside tables, luggage racks, and ample storage space. It’s possible to add an extra bed for a child under 12 years, and cots are available on request. The en-suite bathrooms feature twin basins, a walk-in shower, and a flush toilet. Finally, every room has its own private veranda, with views over the lush landscaped gardens.
