Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • One to discuss with us
This high-quality camp is an excellent choice for those seeking to fully immerse themselves in the desert landscape. However, it’s important to note that the camp requires a minimum stay of 3 nights with set arrival and departure days, which may pose a challenge when trying to fit it into an itinerary, particularly during the high season when availability is limited.

E-biking

  • Sunrise or sunset scenic drives allow guests to be fully immersed in the desert landscape, looking out for resident wildlife, while taking in the remotest corners of the reserve. Full-day or half-day options are also available.

  • Guided by a knowledgeable Bushman, explore the Namib dunes on foot, taking in the small, vital details of this extraordinary ecosystem. Look out for the toktokkie beetle and the indigenous dancing white lady spider as it dashes across the sand.

  • Connect to nature in complete silence during this unique 30–45 minute signature solitude experience. You’ll venture to a remote, tranquil spot for some reflection time in the desert, tuning into nature, far away from all noise and distractions.

  • Explore the rugged beauty of the desert during a stunning horse-riding adventure, admiring the landscape and pausing along the way for a secluded picnic lunch. Please note that this activity is possible from Wolwedans Boulders, but it requires plenty of advance planning due to the camp’s remote location and incurs an additional cost.

  • Meet the Wolwedans team behind the scenes, learn about the community-driven initiatives, and gain insight into the Wolwedans Foundation’s AridEden mission, which works towards empowering the team and fostering environmental and sustainability awareness. Please note that this activity is possible from Wolwedans Boulders, but it requires plenty of advance planning due to the camp’s remote location.

  • E-bikes take you deep into the heart of the dunes and terrain, usually accessed only by 4×4 vehicles. Accompanied by experienced guides, this high-energy experience can be tailored to suit all levels, allowing experienced riders to spend a whole day outdoors with a picnic lunch. Please note that this experience incurs an additional cost and is better suited to Namibia’s cooler winter months between June and August.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course
