Access & Location
Sirai House sits within a 250 acre private estate, amid cedar trees and olive groves, in the Borana conservancy: a vast private game reserve in the Laikipia region of Kenya. Its location, on the crest of a hill at the foot of Mount Kenya, means unparalleled views of the snow-capped peaks and out across the grassy plains below. There are also great game concentrations in this region…you can expect to see prides of lion, lots of cheetah, buffalo, zebra, elephant, giraffe and even black and white rhino. The Borana conservancy itself is a vital gateway for animals between Mount Kenya and the semi-desert plains of the north – and one of the last strongholds of black rhino in Africa. Sirai House is accessed by a 50-minute, light aircraft private charter from Nairobi. On arrival at the airstrip you’ll be collected by one of their (custom-built!) 4x4s and game driven across the plains on the 30-minute transfer to the property.
