Emily Moon River Lodge is very different from most other places to stay on the Garden Route with a definite character of its own. Originally built in the style of the safari lodge by a ‘great white hunter’ for his soon-to-be bride, Emily Moon, it has kept its safari roots in much of its decor. (Sadly, Emily never actually reached South Africa as she died on the voyage out from England.)
