The camp is accessed via road transfer from Londolozi’s airstrip. It’s situated farthest east of all five properties, amidst leadwood trees along the banks of the River Sand.

Luxury, worth every penny
A camp of simplicity and elegance! One of the few places in the Sabi Sands where you can watch elephants feeding along the riverbanks from the comfort of your private plunge pool. It simply can’t get any better! A secret haven for honeymooners or guests looking for a mixture of privacy and social interaction.

Sightings are enjoyed on Tree Camp’s expertly guided game drives, which take place during early morning and late afternoon.
Among the highlights are all Big Five – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo.
You can look out for smaller mammals too, among them cheetah, hyenas, jackals, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and ample antelopes!
Guests staying here during the green season will see the Sand river in full flow, which is when it’s particularly popular with hippopotamus.
There are 45 types of fish too.
Fans of feathery friends can have fun spotting hundreds of species, including raptors, waterbirds, and songbirds.
If you’re a keen birder, you’ll love going on safari walks – this activity is ideal for anyone with a passion for plants and insects too.
Photographic safaris are also available, as are village walks and community visits.
Yoga is offered at Founders Camp, just a short distance from Tree.
And if you’re staying here with children aged 6–16 years, you can let them run riot at Varty Camp’s Cubs Den, where staff organise spoor identification, birdwatching, bug catching, African dance, and dung spitting!
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.

Tree Camp’s lounge, dining area, and bar are housed in a timber-and-thatch structure that sits aloft stilts, amongst beautiful leadwood trees.
All spaces are every inch as sophisticated as the guest suites, featuring the same sumptuous palette. In the lounge, leather sofas, well-cushioned wood-framed armchairs, and curved stools surround elegant coffee tables, and the décor includes intriguing sculptures and a few potted plants. The dining area contains chic individual tables flanked by upright chairs, and it’s conveniently close to the camp’s well-stocked bar. Guests can also dine on the deck, enjoying amazing views over the Sand river. There’s also a very inviting swimming pool! And visitors have access to several of the communal facilities at neighbouring Varty Camp – the fitness centre, Healing House spa, boutique, Cubs Den kids club, and photographic studio.

Each of Tree Camp’s six guest suites occupies a timber-and-thatch structure that’s raised into the trees on sturdy stilts, well apart from its neighbour/s.
All suites offer 71 square metres of floor space. In every bedroom, there’s a king-size bed or twin beds, draped in mosquito netting. Other furnishings include bedside tables and anglepoise lamps, elegant seating, and black-and-white wildlife artwork. The colour scheme involves whites, creams, mahogany, and chocolate, not only in the bedroom but in each suite’s separate lounge area too. Here you’ll find comfy seating around a coffee table, amidst all sorts of interesting artefacts and plants. Overall there are lots of modern amenities – air conditioning, room fans, telephone, internet access, mini-bar, safe, and hairdryer. The en-suite facilities comprise separate flush toilet, twin washbasins with mirrors over, step-up shower, and bathtub with shower attachment. One suite has a bathroom that’s accessible for disabled travellers. And all suites have an outdoor shower too, on a private deck. The deck also has a sala and a plunge pool!
