Access & Location
The camp is beautifully located in a secluded southern part of Lake Manyara, overlooking a semi-dry riverbed and with views of a waterfall from the River Endabash as it thunders over the edge of the Rift Valley escarpment. One of the greatest features of the property is the strong numbers of animals that come to this river to drink. It’s one of the few water sources for miles around and attracts plenty of elephant and buffalo, all visible from camp.
Wayo Manyara can be accessed via a one and a half hour road transfer from Lake Manyara Airstrip, or if you’re coming from Arusha it’s approximately three hours. These can take a little longer because once you’re inside the park you’re essentially game viewing; and your driver/guide will stop if there’s something exciting happening!
