All in all, Nyikani Camp Central Serengeti (formerly Kiota Camp) is an excellent option for travellers looking to explore the Central Serengeti whilst staying in a high standard of accommodation, at a very reasonable price. If you want to follow the herds too, we suggest combining a stay here with Nyikani Migration Camp for a total of at least four nights for a real Serengeti spectacular! If you are looking for a little more comfort in this area, we would suggest looking at Dunia Camp or Pioneer Camp, which take the crown for the most luxurious.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.

Access & Location

Nyikani Camp Central Serengeti is well placed to offer some great game drives. In the Central Serengeti, populations of all Big Five animals are impressive all year round, in addition to many other species. The only difficult Big Five sighting is rhino – found in the south west with difficulty! The camp benefits from its proximity to the Seronera Valley, the boundary between the wooded hills of the north and the plains of the south. Rettima Hippo Pool is also worth a visit, home not only to hippos but also to crocodiles, lizards and abundant birdlife!
