Trip Itinerary
Nairobi
On arrival into Nairobi's International Airport, you will spend the night at the conveniently located Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel in Nairobi. The hotel is well-equipped for stopovers, offering plush lounges, high-quality restaurants and bars, a rooftop gym, the Euphoria Spa, and a swimming pool! Comfortable, modern, and just a few minutes from the international airport, it’s the perfect spot to wind down after a day of travel and before your adventure to Kenya’s wilderness areas.
Laikipia
Following your night in Nairobi, you’ll fly out to Laikipia, a farmland-turned-renowned conservation area. Here, you’ll stay in the very adventurous camp Laikipia Wilderness. It has a very relaxed setting, and though it is small its list of activities seems endless. Among its things to do are white water rafting, walking safaris, fishing, waterfall jumping, wild dog tracking, cultural village visits, sleep-outs, and bush meals. Laikipia Wilderness epitomises the style of safari camp that we just love Kenya for – intimate and with a strong focus on delivering as authentic an experience as possible.
Maasai Mara
The last part of this safari is to fly to the Maasai Mara, where you will stay at Offbeat Mara Camp. This camp is small with a very friendly atmosphere. Its communal lounge and dining areas are set up in a classic mess tent, with lovely river views. From this very pleasant base, you can enjoy classic activities such as vehicle and walking safaris, as well as trips to the local market and a thrilling hot air balloon ride (the latter at additional cost). This area of Kenya is home to the famous Great Migration that pushes up into the Mara region from July to October. The open plains of the Maasai Mara have a high density of wildlife and are home to a huge variety of mammals and large numbers of birds too.
