Jo is an Operations Manager at Yellow Zebra Safaris
She has 19 years of experience working with various tour operators in both her native Greece and the UK, specialising in nature-based adventure travel.
Jo travelled to Botswana to experience the Okavango Delta’s wildlife: “It was mind-expanding and life-changing. I was particularly fascinated by the big cats: lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Watching them hunt, and observing their behavioural habits was so exciting and moving. It gave me such a deep sense of interconnectedness and appreciation of life’s natural circle in this vast and utterly beautiful African landscape!”
“Watching the Northern Lights dance across the dark Swedish sky, 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, marvelling at the awesome beauty of our universe, was also a life-changing moment for Jo and tops all other amazing experiences, such as flying on a helicopter over Alaska’s magnificent glaciers, seeing humpback whales while on board an expedition ship in Newfoundland, and hiking to the majestic Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan, at some 3000 meters, just to name a few!”
Jo studied Tourism Management & Hospitality in Greece. After gaining experience in the field, she moved to the UK in 2012 and continued to work in the travel business. She loves being in nature, and hiking is one of her favourite activities. She also loves sailing, and has recently been awarded her Open Water Diver certificate.
