Remote Journeys & Epic Landscapes
Towering sand dunes, desert-adapted wildlife, and Africa’s only International Dark Sky Reserve… Namibia is home to truly breathtaking landscapes. It’s a wilderness destination like no other, offering adventure and scenery you won’t find anywhere else.

When to Visit Namibia

- The best wildlife viewing is from June to September, in the cool, dry winter months, with excellent game sightings.
- Temperatures are high in October, but wildlife viewing is superb. The heat can make conditions uncomfortable.
- April and May are great shoulder-season months if safari in Etosha is not the main focus.
- The rainy season runs from December to March, with brief but intense storms, lower rates, and fewer visitors. Wildlife viewing is more difficult.

Namibia is where you’ll find some of Africa’s most striking landscapes, from the stark beauty of the Skeleton Coast and the NamibRand’s fairy circles, to Etosha’s glimmering salt pans and Sossuvlei’s towering dunes.

Etosha National Park is Namibia’s most famous wildlife destination, home to seriously impressive numbers of game. Visit during the dry season, when species of all kinds gather around life-giving waterholes.

Journey across vast swathes of wilderness in areas like Damaraland and Kunene to see free-roaming desert-dwelling wildlife, including desert elephant, lion, and black rhino.

The NamibRand Nature Reserve is Africa’s first and only International Dark Sky Reserve. As you’re well away from the light pollution of big cities and towns, stargazing in Namibia is exceptional and a great addition to your Namibia safari.

Hot air ballooning over the iconic Sossusvlei dunes offers unmatched views and photography opportunities! Drifting over the stunning landscape is a chance to take in the scale and drama of Namibia’s scenery.

A visit to a Himba village in northern Namibia offers a fascinating insight into one of Africa’s last semi-nomadic tribes. Learn about their ancient traditions and unique way of life, which has remained largely the same for generations.
