This stunning new property has created quite a buzz in the industry since opening! A magnificent location in true wilderness with levels of luxury that catch the eye, Sonop is a high quality addition to the Namibian moonscape. This place is all about scenery, far from the significantly busier Sossusvlei area (3 hours’ drive). We would recommend combining it with somewhere closer to the big dunes at Sossusvlei (the classic vision of Namibia). Nevertheless, it works well as a standalone place for total seclusion and sophisticated luxury, making it great for honeymooners looking to get away from the path most trodden.

Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Standout property
Old world romance meets new world luxury! This is one of the most beautiful lodges in Namibia, with incredible views over the sparse desert surroundings. Not your typical stay for a visit to Sossusvlei, but it teams up very nicely with a property closer to the gate.
