What are the top natural sites to see around Central Namibia?
Gamsberg Mountain offers a dramatic focal point to the inland plateau in Central Namibia, as part of the Khomas Hochland. Hot springs can be discovered here too, providing a relaxing dip in steaming water! The area also plays host to the beginnings of two deserts – the Namib to the west of Windhoek, and the Kalahari to the east. So whichever direction you choose to take from the centre, you are guaranteed to find something spectacular!

What are the best accommodation options?
Central Namibia is not particularly wild compared with other areas in Namibia – it is unlikely that you will need an off-road vehicle in order to visit some of the tourist hotspots or to drive to your accommodation, as the majority of the region’s boutique hotels, luxury lodges and bush camps are accessed via well-maintained roads and highways. However, the area does boast some superb viewing spots for wildlife, especially birdlife. So if you are a keen birder, do not forget your binos.
