Go snorkelling and admire the treasure trove of marine life. Explore endless flats and view young sharks, rays, and turtles, birdwatch and spot some 238 species of feathery friends. Track turtles, watch them nest, and enjoy fly-fishing, with opportunities to catch-and-release a mighty bonefish!
The waters of Astove Atoll are home to a number of dive sites. There’s something suitable for all types of diver, from beginner to professional. And you’ll enjoy sightings of an astonishing diversity of marine life!
Enjoy exploring the atoll’s beautiful lagoon, marvelling at the mangroves’ shapes and structures.
The house is accessed via 3 hours’ flight from Mahé. It has a lovely location on Astove Atoll, which features a large lagoon, pristine white sands, and even a dramatic drop-off in the waters around its shores – this is likened to the Grand Canyon!
Communal spaces at Coral House include a very comfortable lounge, featuring well-cushioned seating, coffee table, photos of Astove, and television.
In the dining area, there’s one big table flanked by upright chairs, where everyone eats together. Meals feature delicious dishes inspired by Creole cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also relax and dine in the central courtyard, while the sunset bar is the perfect place for sundowners at the end of each day! There’s a fly shop too, as well as an activities centre where friendly staff can help you decide how to spend your time on and around Astove.
Coral House contains six bedrooms, each accommodating a maximum of two adults.
All are set around the house’s central courtyard and offer 10 square metres of floor space. Furnishings include a double bed or twin beds, bedside tables and lighting, and some landscape pictures. Additional amenities consist of air conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, and a laundry service. The en-suite facilities comprise flush toilet, washbasin, and shower. And each room has charming courtyard views!
