Victoria & Alfred Hotel is owned and operated by Newmark, a company specialising in camps, lodges and hotels across Tanzania and South Africa. It’s a pretty iconic building, once the V&A Waterfront’s North Quay Warehouse as established in 1904. Named after Queen Victoria and her second son Alfred, since 1990 the structure has functioned as a hotel offering a sophisticated base from which to explore Cape Town and surrounds. Accommodation is usually booked on a B&B basis, including parking and Wi-Fi. The hotel is open all year round.

Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Good for first-timers
A decent 4-star hotel that’s smack-bang in the heart of the action on Cape Town’s waterfront. Slightly commercial, but stunning views of Table Mountain from the bar on the harbour front and good prices considering such a WOW-factor location.
