Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Special, but not for everyone
Great for those who are wanting a slightly longer stay in Arusha rather than the standard one night. A really peaceful and serene setting out of the main hustle and bustle of Arusha town.

  • Here’s your opportunity to play on the most prestigious course in all Tanzania! Kiligolf was designed by David Jones, former Irish national coach and Kenya Open champion. The club hosts international and local events, tournaments, and club nights. No tee-off time is required, and club hire is available. And the views from the course are incredible! Lessons, lasting for an hour, can be booked too.

  • Nduruma Polo Club is fab for families and boasts an international-size field. Horse rental is available, and all levels of ability are accommodated. Every Wednesday, there’s social field hockey, and the club also has a spa, gym, and pool.

  • Local company Kaskazi Horse Safaris leads 2-hour rides around the estate. In the company of a knowledgeable guide, you’ll enjoy close sightings of wildebeest, zebra, eland, impala, and many more wildlife species.

  • Why not take a trip to a coffee, avocado, or flower farm? This is an exciting activity for anyone interested in farm processes.

  • There’s a lot to see and do in this vibrant city. Among Arusha’s attractions are the clock tower, Bishop’s Cathedral, the National Natural History Museum, the Maasai Market, and the Cultural Heritage Centre. A stop at Shanga, a social enterprise in which people with disabilities are employed to create gorgeous jewellery and other items, is possible too.

  • Home to elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, warthog, bushbuck, warthog, monkeys, flamingo, and much more besides, this national park lies just 25 kilometres east of Arusha.

  • Duluti is a volcanic crater lake on the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley. This is a very scenic area, 14 kilometres from Arusha’s city centre.

  • Finally, a day room is available, a popular option for guests booked onto KIA’s evening flight. For example, you could fly to Dolly Airfield, transfer to the house for lunch, enjoy an activity during the afternoon, and return to the airfield at 18:00. For more information about the day room or anything else to do with staying here, please contact a member of the Yellow Zebra team.
