Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Excellent value for luxury seekers
Wilderness Linkwasha is such a well-thought-out camp, the consideration for traveller comfort and unique experiences is really apparent during a stay here! The real stand-outs at this camp for me are the sunken hide at the waterhole in front of the camp, where elephants come to drink throughout the day – an amazing experience, as you can view these gentle giants from ground level – and the star bed sleepout with its own pizza oven!

Nature walks

  • The camp’s location within a private concession guarantees great game viewing – so activities are centred on day and night game drives in addition to walking safari. Viewing from hides is available too. Wilderness Linkwasha is home to all Big Five animals and numerous other species – giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland. The concession’s birdlife is also very impressive! Nocturnal sightings tend to be of hyena, pangolin, mongoose and porcupine.

  • Guests who are feeling especially adventurous might appreciate a night under the stars. The camp’s sleep out deck is a 15 minute drive from Linkwasha. Located in Scott’s Pan, the raised decking overlooks a waterhole so guests can experience wildlife mere metres below their mattresses! It is recommended that you pre-book this excursion.

  • And like its sister camp, Wilderness Davison’s , Wilderness Linkwasha offers a four-hour excursion to a local village. Guided by a villager or Wilderness guide, guests are encouraged to tour the local school, meet the village headman/headwoman and get to know the villagers. You can also visit Ngamo Livestock Farm, a near-by agricultural educational centre for local youngsters.

  • There is also the opportunity to learn about the local wildlife, flora and fauna on foot from the camp’s experienced guides.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.

Access & Location
