Simple, cosy, and comfortable, the accommodations are positioned on wooden platforms overlooking the Boteti river and across to Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Each has its own wooden veranda with cushioned chairs and footrests, ideal for reclining with a drink in hand while observing any passing wildlife on the riverbank below. The bedroom is entered through sliding glass doors, where you’ll find a double bed draped with an oversized mosquito net, a large sisal rug covering the hardwood floor, a luggage stand, a wardrobe, a tea-and-coffee station, and an armchair. There is no air conditioning at the lodge, but each room is equipped with a fan. There’s also a small digital safe for storing valuables, 220V multi-adaptor plug sockets, a flashlight, battery-operated reading lights, umbrellas, and a small hairdryer. The en-suite washroom is accessed via a wooden door, and inside is a flush toilet, double basins, an indoor shower, and a wicker laundry basket. While it’s not always consistent, Wi-Fi connection is available in the guest rooms for those who need to stay connected. The family accommodation consists of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, located close to the lodge’s main area for easy access.
