Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • One to discuss with us
This international-style hotel makes for a good albeit rather unexciting place to stay in Kigali. If you know Marriott’s, this is no different.

  • This is Kigali’s first public recreation spot, launched in 2007. The gardeners can be rather strict, often requesting that visitors don’t walk on the grass, but you can stroll along the paved path around the well-kept grounds.

  • This museum is dedicated to Richard Kandt, a German physician and keen explorer of Africa. It showcases the flora and fauna of Rwanda’s national parks, and there’s an exhibition of live reptiles too.

  • Situated in Rugunga, a short drive from Kigali, the crafts items here are a bit more expensive than they are in the main market, but the sheer variety of products is very impressive.

  • A mere 3km outside Kigali, this memorial comprises a round area with ten stone columns, a structure riddled with bullets, and a small museum. Each column marks the spot where a member of the Belgian peacekeeping force was murdered in 1994.

All are furnished in a contemporary style, and each has a neutral palette. We tend to recommend the entry-level Guest Room to our clients, as the more expensive options feature access to the hotel’s executive lounge – usually this isn’t necessary for one-night stays. Every room in the Guest Room category offers king-size bed or two double beds, bedside stands and lighting, a writing desk and chair, and a separate seating area. Amenities include air conditioning, a satellite television, a tea-and-coffee station, a mini-bar, and a digital safe. The en-suite marble bathroom contains flush toilet, washbasin, shower, and bathtub. Back in the bedroom, floor-to-ceiling windows provide amazing views over Kigali! If you’re interested in any of the pricier options, by all means contact a member of our team.
