Sunshine Azure Hotel is a breath of fresh air compared with other similarly priced options on Zanzibar. Good service and a genuinely welcoming vibe places them as a hot contender in the ‘value’ price bracket.

There are bikes for hire in order to explore the surroundings, as well as PADI courses and dives to Mnemba Atoll.
Tours can also be arranged to Stone Town, Prison Island and Jozani Forest.

The restaurant and pool area look out over the beautiful white sandy beach with the Indian Ocean beyond, and massages can be organised.

It is a simple, no frills beach lodge that has gained a great reputation for good value and charming, friendly service.
With just 16 rooms, Sunshine Azure Hotel is one of the smallest hotels we recommend on Zanzibar . The two Garden Rooms are the cheapest option, then there are 12 Suites and finally, two special suites, the Blue Breeze Suite which has a private balcony, and the Honeymoon Suite which has its own small plunge pool.
