Trip Itinerary
Arusha
Upon landing into Tanzania, you will spend your first night in Arusha. You‘ll be met at the airport and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge. Although you’ll stay just one night in Arusha, you can certainly take advantage of the many facilities and activities available at the lodge. Venture to the Peaberries spa to sample a range of wonderful treatments, before unwinding even more in the oval swimming pool. This is one of our favourite properties in Arusha for a relaxing stopover before a safari.
Ngorongoro Crater
From Arusha, you’ll fly to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll stay at &Beyond’s Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, possibly the most lavish lodge in all Tanzania! Often described as ‘Maasai meets Versailles’, its interiors are a high-camp take on the luxury safari theme. You’ll stay in one of the lodge’s glamorous suites, enjoying a king-size four-poster bed, a deluxe separate seating area, and a full bathroom with floor-to-ceiling windows onto spectacular Crater views! During your two nights here, you’ll head out on expertly guided game drives. You can expect to see all Big Five species – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Smaller predators and herbivores abound, including cheetah, hyenas, jackals, serval, caracal, golden cat, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and a fine assortment of antelopes.
Serengeti National Park
From the Crater, you’ll head over to Singita’s Faru Faru Lodge, in the wildlife-rich Singita Grumeti Reserves adjacent to the Serengeti. The luxurious suites offer impressive beds, contemporary light-wood furnishings, and a bathroom with beautiful views over the reserves. You’ll have access to a lovely private veranda too, where you can sit and enjoy some glorious sunsets. Faru Faru offers two swimming pools, one styled as a Swahili sand beach! Activities here include morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, community visits, archery, and stargazing. Among the wildlife highlights of the Singita Grumeti Reserves are plenty of big cats, huge herds of elephant and buffalo, numerous smaller predators and herbivores, and plentiful birdlife.
