Traditional safari camp on the banks of the Zambezi River
Dining area adjacent to a channel that attracts plenty of elephants

Five tents within groves of trees
Fantastic game drives, walking safari, canoe trips

Activities here follow the same pattern as at Vundu.
A morning walk and/or game drive begins the day, to follow tracks that have appeared overnight or to view the abundant game for whom Mana Pools is home. There is a lot to see here, including lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, African wild dog, eland, kudu, waterbuck – the list is endless!

Then the afternoon is the time for a further game drive or a canoe trip down the Lower Zambezi to watch for hippo and crocodile. For particularly keen canoeists, it is possible to take part in a canoe trail lasting two to three nights!

All activities benefit from the guiding expertise of Nick Murray and the Zim-Pros he picks himself, all freelancers based on the region.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
Little Vundu Tented Camp is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, approximately 3km upstream from sister camp Vundu, in Mana Pools.
Its main area consists of just a tent for dining, a pole-and-canvas structure with open sides housing a large table and chairs for communal meals.
Communal dining
The tent is shaded by acacia trees and a channel runs close beside it. The channel is very popular with local wildlife and it is common for guests to spot elephant drinking here and feasting on the lush grasses. Lion, leopard, hyena and wild dog all pass through camp too.
The guest accommodation at Little Vundu is linked to the main tent via a footbridge.
Bucket shower
Flush toilet
Each tent is meru style and spacious, with twin beds and en-suite open-air facilities comprising flush toilet and bucket shower. Ample privacy is afforded by the tents’ location among sausage trees and ebony trees. The Zambezi is just 75m away!
