When to Visit Namibia

  • The best wildlife viewing is from June to September, in the cool, dry winter months, with excellent game sightings.
  • Temperatures are high in October, but wildlife viewing is superb. The heat can make conditions uncomfortable.
  • April and May are great shoulder-season months if safari in Etosha is not the main focus.
  • The rainy season runs from December to March, with brief but intense storms, lower rates, and fewer visitors. Wildlife viewing is more difficult.

Namibia Trips

I love Namibia for its vast tracts of wilderness and the sheer variety of landscapes and habitats. From the towering dunes in Sossusvlei, to the rugged Skeleton Coast, and the wildlife-rich Etosha. It’s a place where silence has weight, the night skies blaze with stars, and cultures like the Himba and San share timeless traditions.

Yellow Zebra Safaris were the perfect partners for a big feature we had planned on Namibia. Their on-the-ground arrangements were seamless. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
