When to Visit Namibia
The best wildlife viewing is from June to September, in the cool, dry winter months, with excellent game sightings.
Temperatures are high in October, but wildlife viewing is superb. The heat can make conditions uncomfortable.
April and May are great shoulder-season months if safari in Etosha is not the main focus.
The rainy season runs from December to March, with brief but intense storms, lower rates, and fewer visitors. Wildlife viewing is more difficult.
