  • Positioned on the Rift Valley escarpment, Mwiba’s fly camp is made up of four tents. Please note, the experience requires advance booking and the minimum age requirement is 8 years. Guests are driven out to the location, or you can walk from the main camp… or you can even travel via helicopter! Once you’ve arrived, you’ll tuck in to dinner around the campfire. After that, you’ll bed down for the night, with a watchman on hand to keep you safe. You’ll return to main camp the following morning.

The lounge contains comfy sofas and armchairs around a chunky coffee table, with a standing fan nearby. In the dining area, there’s one big table where everyone eats together, flanked by classic safari chairs. A few wildlife pictures adorn the walls, and there’s an additional table for a selection of beverages! The palette throughout the mess tent includes warm honey tones, reflecting the local Hadza tribe’s appreciation of honey and mirroring the hues of the surrounding bush. Just outside the tent, there’s a veranda where you can relax and marvel at the scenery. Head back down the steps, and you’ll arrive at the camp’s fire-pit – this is where guests gather to socialise and to swap their safari stories! Bush dining and sundowners are available too.

All standard-size tents are sufficiently spacious to accommodate an extra bed. Each is spaced a good distance away from its neighbour, and every tent faces a different direction, so there’s ample privacy. All tents are mounted on a stone platform. Part of the platform is pleasantly shaded by the canvas roof, providing a lovely veranda where you can sit and enjoy your views! Inside, you’ll find a double bed or twin beds (triple if required), in addition to bedside stands and lighting, and plenty of storage space. Amenities include mosquito nets and safe. The en-suite facilities are set out on one side of the tent, and they comprise flush toilet, twin washbasins, and shower. The family tent benefits from all the features of the standard tent, in addition to a second bedroom.
