This is a splendid place for snorkelling and scuba-diving as there is so much sea life to be seen –resident dolphins, humpback whales, whale sharks and manta rays, as well as loggerhead and leatherback turtles.
It is a particular highlight to watch these magnificent creatures coming ashore between November and February to lay their eggs on the beach.
Other possible activities include deep sea fishing, exploring the beach on foot or on horseback, or simply relaxing on the beach or by the pool, soaking in the wonderful atmosphere.
White Pearl Resort is located at Ponta Mamoli on the south-east coast of Mozambique, about 100 km south of its capital, Maputo, and 25 km north of its border with South Africa. It is surrounded by natural beauty with the magical Indian Ocean to the east and Maputo Elephant Reserve to the west.
The guest areas are impressive.
They include a private lounge, chic dining room, infinity swimming pool with its own swim-up bar, and a vibrant beach bar. Delicious meals are served in the dining room, on your own deck or at the pool bar. They are quintessentially Mozambican, and specialize in the wonderful local seafood.

The resort is nestled amongst dunes in a sheltered bay where the Indian Ocean laps gently onto 2 km of pristine beach.
The suites seem to float above the dunes as they are raised on stilts and connected by wooden walkways. The interiors are decorated with clean lines and contemporary furniture. They are air-conditioned and have wonderful views through a large sliding glass door that opens out onto to a spacious deck with an outside shower and a private plunge pool.
