Davison’s occupies a wildlife-rich setting, where game viewing is exceptionally productive year-round. Day and night game drives, bush walks, and cultural visits are all part of the experience.
Led by expert guides, game drives in open 4×4 vehicles explore the Linkwasha Concession’s diverse habitats, where year-round waterholes support a high concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five (rhinos are present but rarely seen), giraffe, zebra, and large herds of elephant.

Hwange’s nocturnal world features many unusual species, including the lesser bushbaby, spotted hyena, Selous mongoose, caracal, and porcupine. Lucky guests may also encounter the area’s more elusive inhabitants, including leopard, lion, honey badger, and the rare pangolin.

With a conservation history spanning nearly 100 years, Hwange has one of the highest game densities in Africa. Explore this iconic landscape on foot with an expert safari guide who’ll point out all the finer details of the bush, including its incredible birdlife.

Meet the Scorpion Anti-Poaching Unit and the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZPWMA). In a dedicated partnership with Wilderness, these teams protect Hwange’s south-eastern region by conducting patrols, removing snares, and providing vital conservation funding.

Experience an authentic and respectful glimpse into local life on this half-day cultural excursion. Led by a village resident or a Wilderness guide, the visit includes a tour of the local school and an audience with the headman or headwoman. *This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through.
