Mekdes Zerihun

Mekdes is an Assistant Accountant at Yellow Zebra Safaris.

Although originally from Ethiopia, Mekdes is now a firm Kingstonian. She joined YZ in 2018 and works closely with our in-house accountant Zeti.

Mekdes’ Bio

Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Mekdes spent her vacations exploring her home country. When she wasn’t socialising with friends and family or shopping in Ethiopia’s vibrant capital city, Mekdes was traveling south to splash about on the scenic shores of Lake Langano and to walk through the foliage-lush streets of Hawassa.

In 2010, Mekdes completed her BA in Accounting and Finance at London South Bank University. She spent the next few years in various accountancy positions, all in offices located within a close radius of the YZ headquarters. Today she assists our conscientious Accounts Department, balancing hard work with her sweet temperament and enthusiasm for pastimes such as listening to music and continuing her love of shopping.
