  • The best time for gorilla trekking and wildlife viewing is June to September in the dry season, with easier forest access and excellent sightings.
  • The second dry season runs from December to February.
  • Heavy rains arrive from March to May and from October to November, making trekking difficult and limiting wildlife experiences.

Republic of the Congo Trips

There are very few forests like Odzala–Kokoua National Park on Earth – many researchers would say there is nowhere else on our planet like it. This is a park that surprises even the most experienced adventurists, a wonderfully mysterious frontier that’s home to gorillas, chimpanzees, forest elephants, and a huge number of lesser-known species. This is a destination to put at the heart of any conservationist or adventurous traveler’s wish list – one of the most beautiful, incredible places we operate safaris.
