Khwai Lediba is the latest offering from African Bush Camps, an owner-run company with a reputation for authentic and well-priced properties. Everything you need for a great safari is in place, though perhaps without quite as much luxury as some of the camp’s highly priced neighbors. Safari is the focus here. But the guiding is excellent, there’s an abundance of year-round game, and the welcome in camp is warm! As you’ll be located within the riverine Khwai concession and on the borders of Moremi Game Reserve, you’ll have the best of both worlds in terms of the many activities you can enjoy. However, the Khwai village area, while offering wonderful cultural interactions, can also get quite busy in terms of vehicle numbers. All in all, this is a great new camp at an affordable price in one of the most sought-after safari areas in Africa.

Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Excellent value for luxury seekers
African Bush Camp’s newest property and sixth in Botswana. As it’s located in Khwai, game viewing should be very reliable, and we expect the same level of service and guiding we’ve experienced at all of the company’s other camps.

  • Explore the Khwai river’s waterways on a boat cruise! This is a relaxing way to change gear on safari, and there’s so much to see – hippos and Nile crocodiles and an abundance of waterbirds. There is also excellent seasonal fishing, which is a delightful way to pass time in the bush.

  • You can also view the wildlife of the waters from aboard a mokoro, a dug-out canoe. As the mokoro doesn’t have a motor, you’ll be able to dedicate your full attention to the sounds of the mammals, reptiles, and birds all around you. It’s a magical way to glide down the river.
