There are few properties as prestigious as Wilderness Mombo. The crowning jewel of the Okavango Delta, it is consistently regarded as one of the finest camps in Africa, with accommodations and communal spaces that take luxury to new heights. Yet it’s the guest experience and wildlife sightings that truly set Mombo apart, with the camp’s dedicated team of staff, excellent guiding, and astonishing game densities. As the focus is primarily on game drives, we suggest combining Wilderness Mombo with camps of a similar standard, such as Wilderness Vumbura Plains, for water-based activities. Ever at the forefront of innovative luxury, The Sanctuary at Mombo is the camp’s latest addition, bringing state-of-the-art spa rituals to the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Best in class
One of Africa’s most famous camps and the location of the very best game viewing in Botswana. Unbelievably good for game all year, Wilderness Mombo is a property that is often booked out over a year in advance. Best combined with a camp that offers the water activities the Delta is most famous for. Absolutely first class but seriously pricey.
