All are situated north of the mess tent, occupying fairly high hardwood platforms and stretching along the riverbank. There is enough space between the tents to afford plenty of privacy. The first three tents enjoy lovely views of the river rapids, while the fourth looks out over a pool that is home to a pod of hippo! At night there is quite a symphony of whirling water and wallowing hippos. Inside the tents, the beds are very large and four-poster for a touch of luxury. There are mosquito nets and ample room for such furnishings as armchairs, luggage stands, and characterful carved tables for vases of various plants and flowers. Oriental rugs adorn the polished floors. From morning until late afternoon, three sides of the tents may be opened to allow cool breezes to waft through. The accommodation also benefits from 24-hour electricity and the en-suite facilities comprise flush toilet, twin washbasin, shower, and bathtub. Everything is very well appointed and beautifully detailed. The bathtubs even have a view of the river!
