The oldest and largest property in Ruaha National Park
Offers stunning views of the acacia-studded rocky escarpments

Located on the banks of the game-rich Ruaha River
Owned and run by Foxes Safari Camps

Traditional game drives are offered here at Ruaha River Lodge, both in the morning and in the afternoon. Alternatively, guests can head out on full-day drives with a packed lunch to explore deeper into the park. Please be aware though that the size of the lodge can make game driving in one of the remotest parks in Africa not as quiet as it should be.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.

There are two dining areas where guests can enjoy their meals or a drink at the bar.
The first is located on top of a rock kopje, giving it one of the best views in the park, while the second is located down by the river where guests can enjoy watching animals taking advantage of the water source.
The accommodation consists of 24 stone chalets.
These stretch along the river bank and have a large veranda at the front. Their huge interiors feature a large bed and a sitting area, while the en-suite bathrooms are located at the back of the property.
