Lilayi Lodge is owned and run by the Miller family. The property’s name means ‘the place to rest at sunset’, and it certainly offers a very peaceful option for travelers interested in staying outside Lusaka rather than within the city. The accommodation can be booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis, including a complimentary laundry service. The lodge is open all year round.

If you’re hoping to spend a few nights in Lusaka, this is a charming boutique hotel set in extensive grounds. Offering some activities and excellent food, it is a bit of a drive from the airport, but well worth it if you’re looking for a longer stay in Zambia’s capital city.
