Aidan’s Recent Travel Experience

After attending the Jackson Wild film festival hosted in Grand Tetons National Park, Aidan took a road trip around Wyoming and Yellowstone. Alongside Yellowstone canyon and the region’s famous volcanic hot springs, Aidan set out to see the animals of the USA’s own ‘Serengeti’. He spotted moose, elk, coyotes, and bear – as well as the famous Yellowstone bison.
Aidan’s Most Memorable Experience

“When I was a teenager, my parents and I took an adventurous trip around the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. Arriving in Drake Bay by boat (the roads are flooded during the wet season), we were directed to a small restaurant hidden away on an unnamed road. After I’d bonded with the owner over our love of ecology, he recommended I meet-up with a friend of his for a tour of the jungle that night. I spoke no Spanish, and my informal guide spoke no English – but the two of us set off into the jungle with headlamps. That night I was introduced to a world like no other: miniscule poison dart frogs, spiders the size of your hand, and snakes caught halfway through swallowing their prey. The jungle was so dark, that if you turned off your headlamps, you could not see your hand in front of your face. It was only after we’d returned that I realised: if I had lost sight of my guide, I would have been lost forever.”

Aidan’s Bio
Growing up in Canada, Aidan moved to the UK to study Marine Biology and Oceanography before moving to Bristol and now settling in London. He has leveraged his background to build a career as a content creator and science media producer, working for clients like BBC Earth and the CBC Environment and Climate Division.
In common with all of the Yellow Zebra team, Aidan is an avid traveler. Some of his favorite destinations include the Osa Peninsula, Olduvai Gorge, Essaouira, Petra, and Yellowstone. His travel objective going forward is to get more remote: kayaking through Slovenia or backpacking through Madagascar. Outside of work and travel, Aidan’s interests include muay thai, photography, and going down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
