Shanti Maurice offers an excellent assortment of non-motorised watersports – windsurfing, snorkelling, kayaking, pedalos. Waterskiing, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing may be arranged on request, outside the resort. Inland, guests enjoy tennis, yoga, meditation, cookery, and use of the well-equipped gym. Golf is available at Heritage Golf Club, just 10 minutes’ drive away.
At Shanti Maurice, staff are happy to organize a variety of excursions – to such attractions as Blue Bay Marine Park, Grand Baie, Le Morne and Chamarel for swimming with dolphins!
And the resort’s kids’ club provides plenty of things to do for guests aged 3–12 years – face painting, musical games, and trips to the nearby crocodile park and bird sanctuary, to name a few.

They include a boutique, library, conference room, Red Ginger Lounge and two restaurants around the main pool, which has a Jacuzzi too. The restaurants here comprise Pebbles for all-day dining featuring Indian and Creole cuisine, and Stars for South African specials using local fare. Fresh fish, meat and game dishes are available at Fish Shack, located on the beach. The beach is also home to the watersports center, while the gardens contain the spa, gym, yoga pavilion, kids’ club and rum shed too! Additionally, the resort has its own herb and vegetable garden, sourced by the chefs in creating delicious cuisine.

All accommodation is constructed from wood and thatch, blending beautifully into its surrounds, while interiors have a fresh and contemporary style.
