The North Coast beaches of Mauritius are ideal for waterskiing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing! Sailing and deep-sea fishing are also seriously good here. Of the 13 beaches on the North Coast, our favourites are Grand Baie, Mont Choisy, Pereybere, and Trou aux Biches.

Grand Baie is a lively coastal hub, best known for its watersports and catamaran cruises. While swimming areas are smaller, the vibrant atmosphere and food options make it a popular stop. Mont Choisy, just south-west of Grand Baie, is a long white-sand beach with calm, sheltered waters and shady casuarina trees. It’s popular for waterskiing. Pereybere, just east of Grand Baie, is a favorite thanks to its crystal-clear lagoon – perfect for snorkelling amid coral reefs. It also has a lively restaurant scene! Trou aux Biches is often considered Mauritius’s finest beach. The two kilometres of powdery sand and excellent snorkelling reef are a major draw.
