Go snorkelling and admire the treasure trove of marine life. Explore endless flats and view young sharks, rays, and turtles, birdwatch and spot some 238 species of feathery friends. Track turtles, watch them nest, and enjoy fly-fishing, with opportunities to catch-and-release a mighty bonefish!
As well as snorkelling, you can go scuba diving and encounter an astonishing diversity of marine life. There’s a great range of dive sites! Kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding are also available.
Bluewater fishing can be arranged at the camp. You can choose to spend a half- or full day pursuing the likes of sailfish, wahoo, tunas, and dorado.
Take time to stroll by the Menai mangroves, appreciating the shapes and structures of the intriguing shrubs.
Wizard Island and surrounds are absolutely spectacular, featuring exquisite sand dunes, pristine flats, and a lovely lagoon! You’ll never tire of gazing at all this natural beauty.
After a day of Blue Five and other experiences, relax with a drink while watching the sun set over the ocean.
The camp is accessed via a total of 3 hours’ flight followed by an hour’s boat transfer from neighbouring Astove Island. It’s situated on Wizard Island, part of the Cosmoledo Atoll; a selection of private islands in the Seychelles.
Many of Cosmoledo Eco-camp’s communal facilities are also housed within structures made out of canvas and wood.
The dining and entertainment area occupies a large tent with bare sand floors. It’s the setting for delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, inspired by Creole cuisine. Guests can enjoy picnics too, anywhere on Wizard Island! The camp has a sunset bar as well, which is fantastic for socialising and swapping stories about all the exciting experiences you’ve had that day. Spa services are also available, including a great range of massages. There’s even a fly shop, where you can stock up on supplies for fishing trips. And wherever you relax and dine, you can enjoy stunning vistas of white sands, turquoise waters, and Wizard’s wildlife.
There are just eight eco-pods, each consisting of a timber structure with a canvas roof supported by wooden poles.
One short step leads up onto the deck, complete with a couple of chairs and a small table. It’s a great spot for relaxing and marvelling at your views! Entering the eco-pod through sliding doors, you’ll find a double bed or twin beds, accommodating a maximum of two adults. In-room amenities include air conditioning, safe, and cooler, and the en-suite facilities comprise flush toilet, washbasin, and outdoor shower. A laundry service is provided, at extra cost.
