Cliff Lodge has long been our go-to in the Hermanus/Gansbaai area for luxury boutique-style accommodation away from the crowds of Hermanus. The views here, directly out of Walker Bay, are absolutely exceptional… literally some of the best in South Africa.

The main reason for visiting the Hermanus area is whale watching, but there are lots of other activities to keep you busy, such as shark cage diving and hiking along the coastal trails.
You can also visit the southernmost tip of Africa, just an hour’s drive away, to enjoy the region’s wine farms.
Facilities & Amenities
The accommodation consists of four rooms and a suite in the guest house – all have sea views.
North Room and Ocean Suite are the top rooms and have the best views of the ocean.
The main areas include a lounge area, conservatory and sea-front deck with incredible 180-degree ocean views. Right on top of the cliff there is a swimming pool and deck overlooking the sea.
