Our Yellow Zebra Opinion
  • Premium price, but truly exceptional
Delaire competes with La Residence for the title of The Winelands’ most luxurious hotel. The vineyard here is really very good, whilst the overall standards of food and service are set equally high. Great views and really very few negatives. A truly superb property.

There are two restaurants. One is named after the estate and offers classic bistro dishes, spectacular vineyard views, and interiors including orange leather couches designed by David Collins. The other is Indochine, where exquisitely flavoured Asian cuisine comes as standard. Of course wine plays a significant part in the estate’s dining experiences, with many a fine vintage produced at the on-site winery and brought to table for you to enjoy. There’s a gallery to peruse as well, in addition to an assortment of boutiques – Graff Diamonds, 100% Capri (linens), Vana (handbags and accessories), and Africa Nova (curios). Guests have access to a cinema too, as well as a gym and a spa. The estate’s gardens provide a lovely setting for a gentle stroll, and there’s a very inviting swimming pool!
