  • At the Shamwari Rehabilitation Center, young, orphaned, injured or abandoned animals are nursed back to health, while at the Dr Ian Player Rhino Awareness Center there is a wealth of information about these majestic creatures and the ongoing efforts to conserve them.

Facilities and Amenities

The communal Manor is Edwardian in style, a coral-pink colonial delight with plenty of terraces and verandas, standing grandly in manicured garden grounds and overlooking the rolling game-rich plains.

Inside, there are a number of lavish lounges and dining areas, bars, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a boutique, a fitness center and steam room, and the Relaxation Retreat with steam room and sauna. The business desk has internet access, while Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge as well as in all guest accommodation. Outside the Manor, there are further dining areas and two swimming pools. There is also a giant chess game!

Long Lee Manor’s guest accommodation consists of 15 suites and rooms, all designed to sleep a maximum of two adults. The suite options comprise one twin-bedded Manor Suite, one Honeymoon Suite, four twin-bedded Garden Suites (interleading) and four twin-bedded Sidbury Suites. The rooms comprise four twin-bedded Palm Court Luxury Rooms, one of which is disability friendly and equipped with wheelchair ramps, and one twin-bedded Sidbury Luxury Room. All suites and rooms include air conditioning, IDD telephone, satellite TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, mini bar, electronic safe, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom with separate shower, and patio or balcony.
