Well-loved lodge
This property has always had a good location and the rooms are more than comfortable. However, the competition here, especially with Plantation Lodge and Gibbs, is fierce… and arguably much better.

Day trips to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National Park are all possible, while back at the lodge guests can have a soothing massage, enjoy a cultural tour or go on a walking safari with an authentic Maasai warrior.
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
Facilities
The main areas have equally impressive views, with a large decking platform wrapping around the lounge and dining area.
Dark woods and brown leather sofas give the lodge a feel of sumptuous elegance and comfort. There is also an incredibly scenic infinity pool, which overlooks the national park. Breakfasts, lunch and dinners are often served alfresco on the decking areas – it is a truly wonderful setting.
Amenities
With just 16 chalets, Escarpment Lodge is small and personal.
All rooms have a large decking area to soak up the views in privacy as well as a four-poster bed, private lounge area and a good-sized bathroom complete with inside and outside showers, as well as a large bath.
