The house has spectacular views of the dramatic mountainous escarpment beyond the river. Many animals can be seen from the deck, including elephants crossing the river, and species such as kudu and Impala coming down to the river to drink.
Not only is there a house manager, private chef and guide at guests’ disposal, but the house comes complete with a private vehicle, boat, canoes and an armed scout for game-viewing.
Activities are tailored to suit the guests and can include fishing for tiger sharks, and bird watching around neighbouring islands by boat.
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.-

The design of the house is extremely unusual.
The entire house has been built around a frame of wild wood, with Ferro walls following the contours of the branches. Coloured pebbles from the river decorate the ceilings.

There are four bedrooms in total, each with an ensuite bathroom.
These are absolutely amazing. Water pours through the stone ceiling in the upstairs showers, without the normal central rose, while the downstairs showers are waterfalls. The taps are made of wood and bone while the basins have been beautifully carved from wood and marble by the Zambian artist, Eddie Mumba.
