Omaanda offers an exciting variety of activities, as follows:
Zannier Reserve covers 9,600 hectares of savanna, woodlands, and water sources. Drives are available during early morning and evening. Among the reserve’s wildlife highlights are rhino, leopard, and elephant (three of the Big Five ), in addition to cheetah, black-backed jackal, giraffe, warthog, antelopes such as kudu, red hartebeest, steenbok, and springbok, and an impressive assortment of birds, including the enormous ostrich! And throughout the drive, your guide will provide some interesting information about conservation endeavours within the reserve.

This is a private tour, for one to six safarists. You’ll enjoy exclusive experiences of the reserve, as well as specially selected snacks and drinks.

Please note, for health and safety reasons, all tracking activities have a minimum age requirement of 16 years. While tracking rhino through the reserve, you’ll learn everything there is to know about the species from your knowledgeable guide.

Tracking the gray guys is fascinating too! Presently there are just two eles in Zannier, both from a herd located in the north-eastern region of Namibia. This herd’s size became too large for its habitat, and the N/a’an ku sê Foundation offered to re-home a couple of bulls.

This activity focuses on following leopard and cheetah. It’s a must for big cat fans!

The reserve is home to a number of meerkat colonies. The experience involves setting off to see the cheeky chaps at sunrise, in time to observe their morning routine. One of the most engaging mammal species on Earth, meerkat provide plenty of entertainment!

Private tours of the Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary are highly recommended for anyone interested in a behind-the-scenes look at the excellent work being carried out here. You’ll meet the vets responsible for looking after the wildlife, and you can even take part in walks with baboons and cheetahs! You can also visit the Clever Cubs School and the anti-poaching unit. Staff at the pool bar serve up drinks on the deck, in between your dips into the heated swimming pool to refresh and to marvel at views over Zannier! If you’re in need of a little retail therapy during your stay, you need only pop to Omaanda’s boutique, which stocks souvenirs, furniture, and fashion.
