A hugely characterful mid-range property, and one of only two lodges located within the boundaries of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Due to its location, it’s not unusual to see gorillas wandering through the grounds.

  • Gorilla trekking is the main reason to visit Bwindi, but there are loads of other things to do here. Treks start off early in the morning, to allow ample time to locate the gorillas! A minimum of two hours is usually required, increasing to as much as eight hours if the gorillas have decided to base themselves high up in Bwindi’s mountains. Trekkers are allotted an hour for observing the gorillas as they feed, rest, and play. This is a very special experience, and well worth the effort of a long hike!

Nine are standard chalets, designed to sleep two adults but with sufficient space for an extra bed to fit a child aged under 5 years. The remaining chalet is provided for a family or for honeymooners. Both options benefit from eco-friendly solar lighting, insect-proof window screens, and a safe. The beds are very comfy and en-suite facilities comprise flush toilet and spacious washbasin, with walk-in hot-water rain shower and/or bathtub. As per the communal lodge, there are a lot of wood furnishings! And at the front of each chalet there is a lovely veranda, where you can take time in between activities to marvel at the gorgeous forest scenery.
