Trip Itinerary
Arusha
On arrival into Tanzania, you’ll spend the first night at Rivertrees Country Inn in Arusha. With a great location along one of the town’s prettiest tree-lined drives, Rivertrees is a Yellow Zebra go-to property for a comfortable stopover. You’ll be able to enjoy the gardens and pool during the day, winding down from your day of travel in the bar and veranda area in the evening. You’ll stay in one of the Garden Rooms for the night and be transferred the next day to begin the safari. Please note that this is on a B&B accommodation basis.
Ngorongoro Crater
Today is the start of the safari section of the trip as you leave Arusha and head to the Ngorongoro Crater. Staying in Nomad Tanzania’s property Entamanu Ngorongoro, you’ll be placed on the very rim of the Crater. We love the stylish simplicity of this camp’s mess and guest tents, as well as the breath-taking views both into the Crater and north-west towards the plains of the Serengeti. While you’re here, you’ll enjoy a game drive in the famous Crater, which is home to all Big Five, numerous smaller mammals, and ample birdlife. Guided walks up on the highlands around the Crater rim are available too. And you can enjoy interactions with the local Maasai, for a little culture on safari!
Serengeti National Park
From the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll head into the Serengeti, where you’ll stay at Wilderness Usawa – the finest new addition to the park’s mobile tented outfits. The Serengeti is famous for camps that travel hundreds of miles every year to seek out the most exciting moments of the Great Migration, ensuring guests are guaranteed amazing game viewing and a front-row seat to the spectacular show! Beautiful tents, elegant luxury, and fine dining come as standard with Wilderness camps – as well as Usawa being home to some of the finest guides in the park. This is boutique luxury meets epic adventure, in a first-class, intimate camp in the heart of the Serengeti. After a full day of game viewing, relax with sundowners by the campfire, enjoy the chef’s delights, and converse about the day’s sightings under the vast African night sky.
Zanzibar
For the last leg of this Tanzania adventure, you’ll fly out to Zanzibar and stay at Breezes Beach Club & Spa. This fabulous property is located on the south-east coast of the island, and it’s absolutely ideal for relaxing after your time on safari. All communal lounges and dining areas have a lovely laidback vibe, and the swimming pool is excellent for cooling off in the heat of the day. Breezes has tennis courts too, as well as an activities centre offering a great range of watersports – windsurfing, kite surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, and more! Breezes even has its own spa, for the ultimate in chilling out at the end of your holiday!
