Trip Itinerary
Cape Town
You’ll start your adventure by flying into Cape Town and heading to the Cape Grace Hotel, which is situated on the V&A Waterfront. This property is considered one of the Mother City’s most iconic properties! All lounge areas are super-luxurious and the hotel’s Signal restaurant provides the ultimate in innovative cuisine. There is a whisky and wine bar too, as well as a very elegant library where you can tuck in to afternoon tea! Cape Grace also has a fitness studio and a spa. It is perfectly positioned for visitors to enjoy the area’s wonderful range of cafés, bars, and restaurants, with other attractions such as Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden only a short drive away.
Timbavati
On the fifth day of your honeymoon, you will fly to the Greater Kruger region, to start three nights in &Beyond’s Ngala Tented Camp. This property has a gorgeous setting looking out over the wide sand bed of the now-dry Timbavati River. The dining area, communal lounge and sparkling swimming pool all look straight out over the Timbavati and are both cosy and stylish. The property also has a spa and a ‘gym in a basket’ is available on request. Activities from Ngala focus on morning and afternoon/evening game drives as well as walking safaris, but tracking, rhino notching, and photographic safaris are available too, in the wildlife-rich Big Five Ngala Reserve.
Sabi Sands
The last stop on your honeymoon sees you transferring across to the Sabi Sands. You will stay at &Beyond Tengile River Lodge, a luxurious property located on the curve of the Sand River. It offers sweeping river views from every angle, including from the enormous, secluded suites, each with a private deck and lap pool with sunken outdoor lounge. The communal facilities include a sumptuous lounge, a bar and dining area, a safari shop, a gym, a plunge pool, and a massage sala. Tengile offers early morning and evening game drives, interpretive bush walks, bird watching, photographic safaris including specialist astrophotography lessons, and cultural tours. This part of South Africa is also home to the Big Five, in addition to numerous other predators and herbivores – and, of course, plenty of birds!
